Business in Broken Arrow is Booming
Broken Arrow has been a little slower in economic development than some of the other cities in Oklahoma. However, by the 1970s, it started gaining ground and hasn’t stopped since. With the guidance of two important entities, The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation and The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, there is no end in sight for what the residents of this Tulsa suburb will see.
BAEDC (The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation) is an independent organization that creates partnerships between three of the most important foundations of any city:
- The Business Community
- The City Government
- The Public Schools
There is a board of directors that governs this organization which is comprised of a mixture of representatives from those three groups. The group focuses on the things that will benefit Broken Arrow and its residents such as economic growth, jobs and creating wealth by attracting and retaining new businesses to generate workforce development and further education while collaborating with regional partners.
The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce has more than 800 members making it the largest business organization in the city. They are constantly active in maintaining a quality of life that the residents expect and want while creating an environment of entrepreneurship, excellence and innovation for businesses.
With a dedication to keeping Broken Arrow a place “Where Opportunity Lives”, the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce works to "promote quality business and community development." Newcomers to the area can get a membership directory, as well as a business planner and monthly newsletter, from this organization showing their commitment to bring more businesses into the area.
